After a string of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. The project is dubbed Space Key and created in collaboration with an undisclosed artist It is inspired by a piece advanced carbon fiber composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The project is limited and will be auctioned off over the next few weeks.

The Space Key is made from a carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini took to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of an experiment. After it returned to Earth, the carbon fiber was then sculpted into this distinctive artwork. The physical component is embossed with an NFT serial number that ties to the corresponding digital artwork with a QR code on the back.

It was developed in collaboration with an unidentified artist and artist, the NFT is a collectible item that will be auctioned off in just a few weeks time. Its base is made of the most advanced carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part a research project. Carbon fiber was 3D printed to form the base of every Space Key. Each Space Key is linked to an exclusive, digital artwork by way of a QR code. Just five Space Keys have been produced.

It's dubbed the Space Key, it consists of five physical items that unlock an exclusive digital artwork NFT created by the unidentified artist. The  collectors' item was created in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to five units. It will be auctioned off soon.

The heart of every Space Key is a block of carbon fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth, it was made into a QR code, which connects it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels each of the five images which were shot by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used a balloon equipped with a camera to take each of the individual shots, which were then combined into the final image. The result is a picture that is out of this world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic view of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and time of the auction hasn't been announced yet.
